Honda Lock Mfg. Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Honda Lock”) reported in “Conclusion of a transfer agreement related to shares of our company” on August 4, 2022 that Honda Motor Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Honda”), owner of the shares of Honda Lock, and MinebeaMitsumi Inc. (hereinafter referred to as “MinebeaMitsumi”) had concluded an agreement on the acquisition of the shares of Honda Lock (hereinafter referred to as “Acquisition”) and having recently obtained the necessary clearance from the competition authorities of a number of countries, Honda and MinebeaMitsumi agreed today to make January 27, 2023 the date of consummation of the Acquisition.
As a result, Honda Lock will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of MinebeaMitsumi as of January 27. Going forward, Honda Lock will strengthen its access product business using the diverse core technologies possessed by the MinebeaMitsumi Group and aim to improve its position as an automotive parts manufacturer.

Further, at the same time, Honda Lock will change its name to Minebea AccessSolutions Inc. as of January 27, 2023.
